Great idea! Lots of gardeners posting pictures of their gardens (right now) and themselves (or bits of themselves) in them. Irresistible, even though the real photographer here told me the light is all wrong. So here goes:

Do you visit art galleries and museums? Do you enjoy theatre and concerts? Hauser and Wirth – art gallery and Oudolf Gardens As a garden writer and garden maker I deeply regret that my audience for both appear to be almost exclusively gardeners. It is as if the works of painters and sculptors were only […]
I think it’s possible that such platforms are the future. At least for as long as blogs were, once.
“The question to ask is, ‘what is here that is true, that is underneath the superficial things? What is here that matters?”
Autobiography of a Garden is about the garden making, Pat’s life, the history of the land, the ideas, the art, the plants and the devouring deer.
But to dream, and perhaps more importantly, to innovate, we should inspire ourselves globally:
“Have issue. You were so adamant that you wouldn’t go to Chelsea again. Discuss, please”.
. And now, knowing we won’t live forever, we’re thinking about what will happen to the house and garden when we die.
The garden is actually interestingly old fashioned. It’s not just the bedding but the relentless inclusion of every garden cliché, however brilliantly executed.

Oh wow, I really do have to visit Veddw sometime. I love your bedding and succulents on the wall. Is that a display that you change through the year depending on what’s flowering?
Your feet resting up, very Deckchair Gardener 😀
I’ve only had the shelves a very short time, so I will work it out as time goes by. And be open to suggestions! (and yes, of course you must come sometime – to talk!) Xxx
just the best time of year! the garden is looking great and you are having fun with bedding too. I envy you the feet-up opportunity
Sorry. He just brought me a cheese toastie too…
Lovely garden, like the shelves , I have space to do that, curious what that is around the shelves, is it a squirrel deterrent?
The mesh? It’s a building product, to help stick plaster to walls. You could take the pic to a builders merchant and they’d know what it is. It’s ornamental, and also helps stop the plants either toppling over (succulents seem to get top heavy) or being blown off.
I wish I had the imagination to think of things like this!
This?
Lovely roses!
And I like the shelves of colorful potted plants!
Have a great week-end!
Thank you! Xx
I’ve just popped in for a coffee (which I had to make myself) and a browse! You’ve been watching too many Camerons! Liking that row of containers and thinking about copying the shelves. Seeing questions from others, it’s called “expanded metal mesh”. Worth checking it out on ebay where it may be cheaper than builders’ merchants (e.g. 20m x 65mm £12 delivered on ebay; £25 at Travis Perkins). If I can get through the post match traffic at Cardiff tomorrow and don’t get lost getting to or from High Glanau, I’ll see you after lunch. Will bring wine.
Don’t encourage him… (wine!) Thanks for the tip.
How cares if the light’s all wrong for the photographer, it’s right for #mygardenrightnow at any time. It’s most definitely a bare feet day, summer must be here!
It is -summer is definitely all here! And, – glad the light’s right for #mygardenrightnow! Xx
Arrgh, that should be who! Fingers won’t type as fast as the brain wants them to.
Nowt wrong with the light in those photographs ?
Tell him indoors that…(and he’ll tell you exactly what is wrong with each picture!) Xxxx
It must be so satisfying to see the gardening labors you have engaged in becoming such WONDERFUL displays in your garden! I too am enamored with the shelving and their flowers & succulents! Trying to convince Grace that she needs to build some! ;D
Tell Grace it’s easy! (though truth to tell, it does need two people, as you have to lift the boards over the rods..) It is satisfying. And, always, troubling too. There’s always something out to get you. Xxx
Love it – thank you for sharing.
A pleasure. Thank you Jean.
