North Garden – Cotoneaster Walk
This used to have cotoneasters and hollies, with rambler roses and clematis growing into them. Then the cotoneasters suddenly died and their removal meant that a heavy snowfall had the hollies keel over…see the blog post about it here.
So, much mending and changing and regrowing is happening.

And the result is not yet worthy of pictures. Though one of the roses, Dorothy Perkins, was growing up a cotoneaster, and survived the loss of the tree. So she’s now growing over some geraniums. Here’s a picture of her, just to whet our appetites for what may eventually emerge in the future.
