North Garden – Meadow

This is grassland which has not been ploughed for 200 years and which we have, by cutting and removing the grass for over 30 years returned to meadow. We have added bulbs for spring: crocuses


Cowslips have spread happily of their own accord.

And then the camassias start…
We used to have an avenue of Turkish Hazel down the middle but these have now been replaced (story here)
And then we needed a focal point, and Octo arrived. (Thanks to Jessica Hawes’s generosity)
